The good news of suffering is that it brings us to the end of ourselves – a purpose it has certainly served in my life. It brings us to the place of honesty, which is the place of desperation, which is the place of faith, which is the place of freedom.

Existe en el sufrimiento algo positivo, auténtico y afirmativo y es que nos lleva hasta el final de nosotros mismos. Un propósito algo severo y a veces incomprensivo. Un designio que nos lleva al lugar de la honestidad, que muchas veces o siempre es el lugar de la desesperación, el lugar de la verdad, de lo auténtico, como también el lugar de la esperanza, para transformarse finalmente en el lugar de la libertad.
